Welcome to the Book Kat! My name actually is Kat, or Kathryn, and I'm currently living in Denver, CO. Just now my life pretty much revolves around books while I'm completing my Master in Library & Information Science and also working at a public library. Besides reading for fun, I'm also a perpetual student and I have background in Spanish and French literature in addition to my MLIS work.
Like most book bloggers, I've always been a bookworm. My reading interests are extremely wide and constantly growing. I've always been a huge fan of fantasy, science fiction, and young adult fiction in general. Not too long ago I set myself a goal of reading more nonfiction and I'm finding that I really enjoy autobiographies, memoirs, and feminist works. Even though these are some of my favorite genres, I'll read just about anything.
As you might have guessed from the name of my blog, I also love cats. They are the best pets around and my own two cats, Felix and Oskar, are obviously the best of all cats. Felix has been around for almost 14 years now and even though Oskar is a more recent addition to the family, I love him just as much. Even though I've always been a cat person, I also have a dog now that aptly named after a book character - Davos. Of course I love him too, but the cats aren't quite as convinced.
